The artist Patrick Hughes, at the opening for his “Smallerspective” show at NYC’s Flowers Gallery (which I wrote about for ELLE.com). The artist, whose mind-bending 3D paintings explore paradox, wore a tie with bright red lips and a pink gingham shirt by Comme des Garcons. Fitting for someone who counts René Magritte as one of his heroes!
